Maruti Suzuki, an esteemed auto figure in India, has some amazing new models in the offering. To quote a few examples it is YLI-A, XA Alpha, and so on, the YL1-A is an interesting new launch, and is a replacement of SX4 and is structured into a magnificent posh sedan image.
YL1-A was displayed at the prestigious Shanghai Motor event, and the design theme used here is ‘’Authentics concept’’. This is an interesting and novel concept, invented to provide a whole new appeal for C segment sedans. The main principle behind the concept is to retain the sporty appeal of the car, with a lengthy wheelbase, low stance and free flowing lines and creases.
For Indian markets, the YL sedan will have the same design base, as the production model revealed by Suzuki. The sporty elements of the car are visible on front bumpers and long hood. The side angle of YL1 has an artistic shoulder crease that extends to the back of the car. On the back, the tail light design is long and prominent with an imaginative geometrical design. Customers can hope for luxurious comfort levels in the interiors, with more than sufficient leg room for back passengers which is expected to be higher than current SX4 sedan.
The YL1 is a car to look forward to, and is a symbol of a futuristic high tech model. The car has basic safety features to protect occupants, with (EBD) electronic brake force distribution and (ABS) anti-lock brake system. An outstanding world class feature to look forward to is the advanced micro hybrid technique, manufactured with brake-energy regeneration technology. This best-in-class feature might be used on the most loaded models of YL1. The suspension system and steering wheel position is adjusted in a way to attract young customers.
To complement its grand appearance and features, the choice options are plenty, the base versions are LDi and LXi, and top end variants are ZDi, VDi, LDi, ZXi, VXi and LXi.
One step into the interiors of YL1 and the atmosphere is nothing but plush, with a royal black and beige color theme. There are wooden fitments which provide an aesthetic appeal to the car. The other interesting features are airbags in front, anti-lock brake system, electronically adjustable mirror, adjustable tilt steering wheel, back air con vents and stop or start button.
YL1 is fitted with a potent 1.4 liter petrol K series engine that will yield impressive energy outputs of 130Nm torque and 94bhp power. The diesel YL1 is inserted with a powerful 1.3 liter turbo Fiat Multijet engine that is likely to churn 200Nm and 90 bhp.
YL1 has all the characteristics of a desirable car, from its grand appearance, state-of-the art technology and fiery engine. Those who are fascinated with the all round image of the car, can now jump to the roof top on hearing its price, it costs Rs 8 lakhs. This is indeed a value for money car, and few of its arch rivals are Hyundai Verna, Renault Scala and Nissan Sunny. The car will launch next year, till then hold on to the edge of your seats.
