Following its Indian subsidiary Suzuki Motor Corp. has gone ahead launching the Indian Maruti cars in the overseas market to captivate the consumers of the compact and the sub-compact car segment. After the successful launch of the immensely compact hatchback Alto 800 and the bestselling sedan Swift Dzire in the car market of Philippines, Suzuki has launched the refreshed version of Maruti Ritz in the auto market of Indonesia. What is known as the Maruti Ritz is known as the Suzuki Splash in the global markets, and the new 2013 Suzuki Splash has been unveiled in the Indonesian market to enthrall the Indonesian car consumers.
The all new 2013 variant of this great hatchback has landed up in Indonesia along with the choice of an automatic transmission gearbox. This all new variant of the Splash has launched in Indonesia with a price tag of 151 million Indonesian Rupiah (about Rs. 8.3 lakhs) for the base model. The all new 2013 Suzuki Splash comes to enthrall the Indonesian audience with a fresh and more attractive exterior looks and some recent tweaking on its interior as well to present a superior driving experience.
When it comes to the exterior looks, the 2013 Splash shows off a mildly refreshed front grille. The front fascia of the car gets further enhanced with the new headlamps along with multiple reflectors. The hatchback also gets an electrically adjustable mirror, while the car’s fender sports a VVT badge. The 2013 Splash will be available in six exterior color schemes and the color palate includes the shades of Metallic Silky Silver, Breeze Blue Metallic, Mystique Red, Metallic Bakers Chocolate, Midnight Pearl Black and Superior White.
As for the interiors of this newly launched Splash variant, a new audio system gets integrated to the cabin. The refreshed hatchback also takes care of the safety measures with world class features such as the ABS and EBD, however the car does not feature any airbags. Under the hood, the new 2013 Splash is driven by the same 1.2 litre four cylinder K12M petrol engine that powers the Maruti Ritz, and has the superior VVT (Variable Valve Timing) technology intact. This very potent engine churns out a peak power of 85PS at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 113Nm at 4,500 rpm. The power of the engine is transmitted by a 5-speed manual gearbox, along with which the Indonesian car consumers get to have a new automatic transmission as well.
