General Motors India Pvt Ltd which is the fifth biggest passenger car manufacturer in India has introduced the Chevrolet Enjoy Multi-Purpose Vehicle for the domestic segment. The company has formulated a strategy to draw car buyers during this unfavorable period by rolling out new models. The Ertiga is the best seller in the Multi Purpose Vehicle segment and will compete with the new Chevrolet Enjoy built to cater to large families.
The Chevrolet Enjoy is built with seven to eight seats and was showcases at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The Chevrolet Enjoy has an amazing exterior body and roomy interiors. The car is manufactured at the established Halol factory. The car will be priced at Rs 6 lakhs in the domestic car category.
The Chevrolet Enjoy is rolled out in petrol and diesel versions and will be equipped with a 1.4 litre engine with an impressive energy output of 94 Bhp; the diesel car will be inserted with a 1.3 litre engine. The 1.5 litre engine is to follow the stringent excise duty cuts imposed by the Indian government.
The extremely popular Multi Purpose Vehicle called the Ertiga is delivered in petrol and diesel versions. The petrol trim model is incorporated with a 1.4 litre 1373 cc K14B K-series engine fitted with Variable Valve Timing technology that churns impressive energy outputs of 94 Bhp and 130Nm of torque. The diesel is fitted with a 1.3 litre MultiJet DDiS (Direct Diesel Injection System) powertrain with the cutting edge technology of Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT). The 1.3 litre DDiS engine generates shockingly impressive energy outputs of 200Nm and 89bhp.
The Ertiga is currently priced with the same economic value as the Chevrolet Enjoy at Rs 6-8.7 lakhs in the domestic car segment. The Chevrolet Enjoy will be priced at Rs 6-8 lakhs.
The Ertiga and Chevrolet Enjoy have classy exterior frames, roomy interiors and impeccable engine efficiencies with impressive mileage. The Ertiga has been a popular car since its launch and has contributed heaps of profit to the company.
