Maruti Suzuki is indeed on the rise in the global market as the cars from its Indian plants are going places. After Maruti Suzuki India made cars head for the Indonesian market, now its Nepal’s turn. Maruti Suzuki is launching the very much appreciated Alto 800 that was quite recently launched in the Indian market, during the festive season of 2012.
Now, this hugely appreciated passenger car of the Indian car market is going to run on the Nepali roads, as Suzuki intents to launch it in the nation in the second week of March, 2013.
CG Automobiles has taken the initiative of launching the Alto 800 in Nepal, as it explains that it has already placed the orders to Maruti Suzuki and that the car is expected to arrive Kathmandu by the second week of March. The officials at CG Automobiles add that they are happy and excited indeed for the great initiative that they have taken to launch the Alto 800. The executive director of CG Automobiles says that they decided to launch the car in Kathmandu as they have been receiving a lot of enquiries for the car from the customers. Also according to CG Automobiles, Alto has been the one car that has managed to remain the largest selling car in both India and Nepal ever since its launch back in the year 2001.
Needless to say, that Maruti Suzuki did a great job in upgrading the Alto model as its 800 version is better than the predecessor with a lot of new changes, that includes its new looks with a new plastic intake system, a revamped lighter crankshaft, a brand new cylinder head, piston rings as well as a new gearbox.
Alto 800 with its new technologies incorporated can deliver an output of maximum 48PS at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 69Nm at 3500 rpm which is a whopping 11 percent more power as compared to the proceeding model.
The new Alto 800 is a better performer, more powerful and gives better shifting, thanks to its new gearbox. The car’s petrol variant delivers a mileage of 22.7 km per liter that is also 15 percent more as compared against the older model. According to Maruti Suzuki, the better fuel efficiency is possible due to the increased compression ratio and improved volumetric efficiency that is acquired through improvements made in the engine intake systems.
The Alto 800 is also braced with features like 3-spoke steering wheel, enhanced seat fabric and design, full wheel cover, body colored bumper, 15 mm higher roof and rear leg room enhanced by 15 mm, front power windows, digital clock integrated speedometer, remote tail gate opener, internally adjustable Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVM), among many other features.
According to CG Automobiles, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 will be available in six attractive shades in Nepal, namely blazing red, frost blue, torque blue, granite grey, superior white and silky silver. The executive director of CG Automobiles says that they are not ready to disclose the price for the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 in the Nepali market, until the time of its launch.
