Maruti Omni Has been here in India for quite a long time now and Maruti has given the people something which has been with the people for a very long time. Basically Maruti is a 5seater and offers lots of room inside. It can be a multipurpose vehicle too In India it is used as a pool car in many parts of the country. The Eeco has been launched to replace Versa which was launched by Maruti few years back and also provides good amount of space in the car.
Omni is powered by a 796cc petrol engine which gives an output of about 27bhp and 6.1kgm of torque. Its LPG version engine is capable of producing 27bhp of maximum power at 4000rpm. The petrol version of Omni comes with MPFI technology that allows lower emissions with greater fuel efficiency.
Eco has 1196cc petrol and CNG engine which generates 73ps of maximum power and 101nm of torque it has BSIV compliment. Its CNG engine option produces a maximum power of 63bhp at 6000rpm and a maximum torque of 83nm at 3000rpm.
Omni has a simple interiors and the dashboard has a black finish the seats are comfortable but the front driver seats heats up quickly because the engine is placed just below the seat. There is no ac in the car and also no implemented music dashboard. There is enough knee room as well as headroom in the van. The eight-seater version of the car has more space if compared to the five seater one. Omni has two versions and both of them have hatchbacks and sliding doors.
Maruti Eeco too has spacious interiors it offers good knee room along with enough headroom and unlike Maruti Omni has a powerful ac to keep the passengers comfortable. The seats are nice and comfortable too. Its dual tone colour enhances its appearance specially the front two seats are designed to give a dashing look. It also has melded roof linings and rear and front cabin lamp.
The looks of the Maruti Omni is simple. It has been here in India for quite long time now and nothing much as changed since then except the front headlight shape. The Maruti Omni Cargo have headlights that are adjustable; also it has outer rear view mirrors which are power adjustable. Front impact beams have also been installed in this car.
The shadows of Versa are still there in the Maruti Eco after all it has been here as a replacement of that car. The front looks sharp and beautiful with its classy lens headlamp and tail lamps having a crystal clear view. The front possess large black coloured bumper with twin air intake. The headlamps are usual but yet have a distinct design. Its rear view mirrors and door handles are having been kept black in colour.
The two cars have been made for fulfilling the Family needs of the Indians. But it seems that Maruti Eeco has much more advantage than Maruti Omni.
